Thank you Voters

I wanted to take this time to thank everyone for their support during this election. Now I will need your help more than ever. I want to work for the people and I will be leaving my website and face book page open to help with communication. This will help stay in touch with the citizens and my neighbors. Again thank you for your support and your vote! I would also like to say Thank you to Mr. Graves. He is a good man, I have heard some great stories about him and what he has done for people over his years of service. I only hope to represent the citizens of district 16 with honor like Mr. Graves. Thank you all; now let's move Wilson County forward.

Article from the Mt. Juliet News:

Missing campaign signs a perpetual problem; One candidate says 23 signs missing

By: LAURIE EVERETT/Managing Editor
Posted: Thursday, June 24, 2010 12:48 pm

June 23, 2010 - As with every campaign season, there comes a time when candidates complain their posted campaign signs start disappearing.

Nearly every candidate will express disappointment their expensive signs have vanished to some extent. This campaign season there are two reports filed with the Wilson County Sheriff's Office regarding stolen signs belonging to one candidate.

District 16 county commission candidate Jason Brockman said two residents have filed reports on missing signs on his behalf, allegedly stolen from their property. He is trying to unseat veteran incumbent Gilbert Graves. The district encompasses the area from Interstate 40 to Stewarts Ferry Pike, and the Beckwith area west to the county line. He said 23 of his 18-inch by 24-inch signs have "come up missing."

"I can put signs out and within five hours or less they are gone," he said.

He said he's invested about $5.50 per sign and it's a costly loss.

Both of the sheriff's reports were taken on Central Pike. Brockman said he's not pointing fingers and most likely other candidates have reported missing signs as well.

"I just want it to stop and I want this to be a fair and clean race," he noted. "If somebody sees someone taking a sign, they should report it. I think we all want the signs to stay where they are posted."

When asked about the problem, other candidates declined comment.

Judging by who Mr. Brockman is running against, I'm not surprised.
